Wordsmiths – A Poem

Academics is a long-term

relationship, fraught with frivolous

fights and tempestuous passion coupled

with tedious department heads and

the monotony of students who think

because they

read one book

of poetry, they know better than

their erudite professors, wordsmiths who

craft lessons with care and sometimes brilliance

lost in the black hole between student’s ears, never

allowed to reach escape velocity.
