Don’t Wear Fur – A Poem

Ever feel like a mutant? Like you were grown

in a lab instead of in a womb?

Look at me.

I look like a werewolf that tried to change

under the full moon

but halfway through said, “Forget it”

and stopped.

When I visit the zoo, chimpanzees’ gesture to their trainer,

asking how I was let out of the cage.

I got invited to a furry convention

but I don’t have a costume.

At least there are razors…
