Gel-Circuitry – A Poem

a synthetic brain suspended

in blue, regenerative soup-like

liquid, thick like the mucous discharge

of pachyderms.

Wires connect to electrode

ports, spiderweb strands connecting mechanical

thoughts

to mechanical limbs. Programmed,

consciousness downloaded like a virus

in the manufactured firmware,

 a simulacrum of immortality.

But the soup-like fluid, the conductive sea

lowers and drains away

leaving a dry-docked mind

with no ocean to ponder.
